People that know me would probably be surprised to find out about my attempt to be neighborly.  Of course, being neighborly in the blogosphere is much different that standing on the sidewalk having a chat with your neighbors.  The blogosphere connection can be made while waiting for the next appointment or while curled up in your favorite chair.  And..and…for me, that’s what makes it much much easier!

So why is it so difficult to start-up a conversation with the neighbor in the house next door?  For me, a number of reasons.  I work sometimes long hours and it might be well after dark when I arrive home…and I just want to get inside and curl up with a good book, my laptop, and my tv remote (okay okay, not all at once).  I always wave, I’ll even say hello if they are near, but conversation-wise I’ll talk to strangers across the world faster and with more ease than I will my own neighbors… hmm…  yes, I’m certain there is a word for this.  I’m even going to bet that someone out there will be able tell me what that word is!

But here I am in the world of blogging and because my Blogging 101 assignment requested that we find five new blogs to follow, I made an effort to find at least 5 and possibly even a few more.  I EVEN commented on a few… OMG!   It’s easy!  I’m coming from the safety of my own space and while the person on the other end reading my comment might screw up their face and say, ‘huh?’, I can’t see it!

In my efforts to find new blogs, I searched for various topics – serendipity; happiness; eclectic; project management (boringggg) and of course blogging101.  And the blogs that I chose to follow today came from each of those…yes, another assignment, checked off !
